United Visayan Hall

Woke up late to plenty of sunshine and it turned out to be a nice warm day.  Got a little done here and there and was ready to get the 5:22 bus and it was late. Then to top it all off, I forgot my wallet. Had to go back home and then wait again for the next bus.

Got to the Visayan Hall after seven and the place was jumping. Lucky to park the bike near the door and Ben was shoveling the money into the safe as it was coming in. Nice friendly people but I had a hard time getting rid of some DVDs. Got to Maurice and bought a ticket to the Fund Raiser at Ige's for Sunday, the 14th.

Paul Lee played a very nice Indian type song and I went over and told him. He's got good taste and we should tell the DJs when we like the song. We don't have to mention the crap and the dancers were having fun (the name of the game.)

Got some fotos with my new camera and I still haven't got the touch. Half of them were too fuzzy. Went over the old camera with a couple of guys and they suggested the trouble might be in the batteries. Will check that out. I may learn to take some nice simple pictures some day.

Danced with a couple of nice ladies and enjoyed it with one in particular because she was just learning. And boy, was she learning good with me, she was a marvel. Didn't catch her name but I am hard of hearing anyway. Set up the hooking up to the internet on my laptop and show it to few that might be interested.

Got a couple shots of the ring of prayer and they sure looked like they had a lot of ono grindz on the tables. Maybe mo bettah next time when I have more practice with the camera.

I left early and hoped to get a bus with an empty bike rack. Got some Large Curd cottage cheese at Times and made it to the bus with plenty time. Room for the bike on the bus but it was packed. Fortunately, there was a guy getting off at the next stop. Had a chance to sit down. Got to Nanakuli before ten and stopped at Sack N Save for some juice and refried beans, (on special.)

Pub's Side Note: There have been two groups in town that have consistently produced the best International Style dancers on this island. By the same token there have been two groups that have consistently produce the worst International Style dancers on this Island. Who? Ha Ha! We are talking competition here are we not? That is the name of your game, not mine.
