Tough Times

"Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western
spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded sun. And nearby is a small,
modest planet, Earth. But as is often the case, fashionable is not the same
as comfortable. We live in prime real estate. Let's try to keep it that way."

The key ingredients in our immediate progress lie in the Photo Contributors and the Information Contributors. Their favorite photos of their favorite people sent in every few weeks is worth its weight in diamonds. Much more valuable to us than the thousands of photos available in Flicker, Photobucket, Twitter or Facebook. Our photos are not seen in Pakistan or South Africa or Sweden. But they are seen on the island of Oahu. This will take time. The added comments to a photo would be icing on the cake.

They may get accustomed to sending in those very precious photos with a few comments and no real commitment, - then anyone is ready to become a Guest Blogger, but only when they think they are ready. The decision must be theirs. We mustn't rush things. The big difference that is that a Guest Blogger can get in and write, add a photograph or whatever. save and publish it all on their own without saying boo to anyone. When you are ready, I can coach you via the Internet.

Meanwhile we have almost lost all of the robot crawlers and spiders sent to screw up the works for us and this year we will find us free and clear of them. The scam spam robots and the search engines will still be with us but we are getting less of them. We are getting more legit readers and moving up again. Also we are beginning to make contact with the neighbor islands. But I am not ready yet.
