Update Good

The five blogs are getting more equalized this year. The top one is still on top but losing average hits per day, The bottom blogs are gaining in average hits per day. And I got the bottom one Dancing Nights safely out of single digit average per day hits.. Most dance Web sites on Oahu were in single digit average per day hits when they had counters. I have found out that the different opinions from our reader/dancers are crucial to our dance social media. The coverage of all dance locations is not very good because of my physical disability and little feedback.

So our five blogs have not been perfect but there has been much to learn from what they are doing. And I keep score, though not perfect, with the hit counters on every blog. I always try to push the bottom blogs. I have one outside blog on my stats only because it has a counter and since they are doing well, I like to use them as a comparative sample. We are ready to help anyone that is helping the reader/dancers on Oahu. The deluxe dancers do not need us so we can skip them and we can all be happy. I am no longer surprised to see the hits on all the blogs increasing.

Received from Deanie:

It's Aiea Ballroom's 64th Anniversary. Aiea is the very first ballroom club in Hawaii - that includes all the islands. We were founded in 1955 - before statehood. A number of our members and past presidents started other clubs. I guess after they found out how much fun ballroom dancing was they decided to form a club of their own. Additionally, non-profit clubs offer membership and lessons at very reasonable cost.

One of Aiea Ballroom's founders, Raymond Ching, is also the founder of our sister club, Wahiawa Ballroom Dance Club. They will celebrate their 50th Anniversary this year.

Aiea Ballroom has enjoyed good dance times, growing pains, and many friends over the years not only with our own members but with all the other ballroom clubs and a Swing Dance Club.

Partnered dancing is just the best exercise for mind, body and soul. Can't beat it.

Joe, hope you're doing well. Please let me know if you'll be able to join us on May 18th. Our program will be simple - introductions, thank yous, about 20 door prizes, some good half-time food but mostly, lots of dancing.

Aloha ~ Deanie
